Moonies in Polymer Clay

Sharon asks:
I was told that if I bake my polymer clay for about 8 hours I can reduce the heat to about 200 so that I don't get as many moonies...is this true?

NO you must use the temperature on the package by the manufactor or the clay will truly in time eat it's self...it's about hitting that certain degrees of heat for that time period...

Wondering what a moonie is? They are little white marks you get in polymer clay...some have to do with how humid it is...some to do with air getting trapped in the clay...

Hope this helps!
Sherry
