How to flock a tree

I would like to know how to make a HARD flocking for small Christmas trees; one that is maybe put on and dries permanent or is put on and covered with another product so that it does not come off. I have several little silk trees that I would love to have them covered with snow. I keep my Santa's out all year in my *little old house* and they need snow covered trees.

Make Your Own Christmas Tree Snow

Mix together the liquid starch and soap flakes in a bowl. Add the water and beat with a rotary egg beater until the mixture becomes thick and stiff. Add the food coloring a drop at a time while beating, until the snow becomes an icy-white color.

Paint on your Christmas tree branches. If you want, you can sprinkle some glitter on the "snow" while it's still wet.

It is a type of texture applied to a surface. Flocking is the process of depositing millions of little individual cut fiber particles (called "flock") onto the surface of an article for the purpose of increasing its value in terms of the tactile sensation, aesthetics, color and appearance, and/or a wide variety of other functions--such as insulation, slip-or-grip friction, etc.
